Career Port 2013 – A next generation Job Fest

Free Registration, Free Skill Development Programmes
Deshabhimani, the third largest circulated daily in Kerala, and UL Cyber Park have joined hands to organise a Job Fest in Kozhikode in October 2013.
UL CyberPark, an IT venture of Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative, will be the first IT Park in Kozhikode, albeit the first IT Special Economic Zone in Malabar region. The UL Cyber Park decided to join hands with Deshabhimani to organize Career Port 2013 as part of its social responsibilities.
Career Port intends to showcase quality Human resource of Kerala.
This event also will be a meeting place for employers and potential Job aspirants. The programme is scheduled to be held from October 17 to 20, 2013. We expect registration of over 10,000 candidates including Engineering Graduates, Graduates, Post Graduates, Diploma holders and ITI certificate holders. Plus-two holders are also allowed to register.
What is unique is a comprehensive training programme for skill development of registered candidates has been planned. We plan to provide soft skill training for 1000 selected candidates and hard skill training for 200 candidates with the support of IIMK, NITC and experts of Government agencies.
There will be no registration fee for candidates and the training programme will be absolutely free.
Career Port presents a single venue to address over a 10,000 academically qualified candidates. All efforts are being made to have a system sorted CV database in place.
Candidates who are appearing for the final year/semester degree/diploma course also can register.
Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikde ( IIMK) has agreed to be the Academic Consultant for this programme. The National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NITC) has agreed to support us for the skill development programme.
The Dept of Industries and IT of Govt of Kerala is supporting this endeavor whole heartedly.
Online registration of candidates has begun on July 8th.
